Purpose
Tags help narrow Monitoring results — the Overview, Issues and Pages tabs — to specific pages or categories of interest on your website.
Tags are managed per site on the Tags tab of the site's Monitoring section (available to admins and power users). Once a site has tags, a tag filter appears on its Overview, Issues and Pages tabs.
Tags List
The Tags tab lists all configured tags for the site, with each tag's name, condition and pattern. Click a tag's name to open the Overview filtered to it, or use the edit and delete icons to change or remove it.
Add Tag
- Click Add tag.
- Choose a rule:
- Starts with – Targets a page and its subpages. Example: "starts with https://example.com/products" includes the main products page and all subpages.
- Equals – Matches only a specific page, excluding subpages. Example: "equals https://example.com/products" excludes /products/shoes.
- Contains – Matches URLs containing a specific phrase. Example: "contains shoes" matches multiple URLs across your site.
- Name your tag and confirm with Add tag.
- Your tag will now be available in the tag filter on the Overview, Issues and Pages tabs.
Import Tags
- The Import tags feature allows you to copy tag structures from another site, automatically replacing the root URL with the target site’s URL. Choose the site to import tags from.
- Import Strategy Options:
- Skip – Skip importing tags that already exist in the target location.
- Update – Overwrite existing tags in the target location with the imported ones.
